The 1st Annual Medford Classic was held in 2006 as a basketball game between friends, raising $1300 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. President and founder of the Annual Medford Classic, Mark Mares, quickly saw the need to support blood cancers and to keep his friend Brian Medford's memory alive. The 2nd Annual Medford Classic moved to Kiwanis Park in Shaler Twp and developed into a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and community event. Now in our 10th year, the Annual Medford Classic has raised more than $40,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Though we will still have events in the future to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the 10th Annual Medford Classic will be our last basketball tournament. Our goal is to raise $10,000 in our 10th year. Please consider making a donation to the Medford Classic to help us reach out fundraising goals.
2011 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Chairman's Citation, a national recognition for the Annual Medford Classic's dedication and commitment to the work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
