THE CHARLES DEMORE AWARD

This award is given each year to an outstanding contributor to the Medford Classic.

The award was pesented for the first time in 2009 to Joe and Bethany DeMore for their outstanding community outreach and fundraising.

Charles "Chuck" DeMore, battled with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2003, and passed away in 2004. Chuck was a loving and devoted father, husband, and man. He was especially passionate about his businesses -- which many of us may have visited: DEMORE'S PIZZA and CRAZY CONES.

The Annual Medford Classic was contacted in 2008 by Joe DeMore, a local MMA fighter, who wanted to join efforts with the Medford Classic to raise money and awareness for our organization and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of his father. Joe and his wife Beth have raised over $2000 for the Annual Medford Classic, and have spread the word to countless donors, sponsors, and participants!

In 2009, the Charles DeMore Award was created to honor Joe's father, as well as his family's unwaivering support for our organization. We were touched by their effort's and the connection we have formed. Joe and Beth were presented with this award at the Fourth Annual Medford Classic.

We thank the DeMore's for all of their support over the years and enjoy having them as part of our team.
